Question / Help OBS Mic Audio Skips in Recordings

OBS has been working fine but within the past month the mic audio skips in recordings. Audio from the computer remains fine, but my own audio skips kind of like a scratched CD. Lets say the word is "abracadabra", it will show up in the recording as "abra-skip-dabra". I know it isnt the microphone because it works fine in discord, and if i record audio in another program like audacity for example, theres no issue. I cant seem to find any information on this problem on the internet. For reference I have an audio technica 2035 microphone going into a scarlet 2i2 audio interface.

Its also worth mentioning that I started tinkering with the audio interface to try and see if I could fix anything. I plugged it into every USB port to see if that made any difference. It didn't. I changed the sample rate and buffer rate to all available options. That also did nothing. Sometimes doing that would mess up my computer as a whole, like how all audio coming out of my computer came out extremely slowed down and low pitched, but that went away. There is now the added issue of audio being recorded into Davinci Resolve also being messed up. But in a much different way than OBS audio, no skipping but distorted and crackly. However audio recorded into audacity sounds completely fine with no issues whatsoever, same with speaking into discord or games. I have absolutely no idea whats going on.
