OBS Memory Considerations

I use latest OBS Studio with latest Windows 10 Pro for screen video capture.
Thinkpad X230, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz, 8.00 GB
I use QuickCPU "Ultimate Performance" , 1366x768 resolution, 60 FPS, QuickSync H.264, QPT 18, Full Color Range
I have no problems (stuttering, frame rates, etc). I use HandBrake to compress.

Would there be any advantage to increasing memory from 8GB to 16GB for 1366x768 internal display or external monitor (1920x1080) recording?

While you do producing/streaming OBS tells you the amount of memory used. While considering take use of that numbers.
Increasing memory is only useful for caching/preloading and holding of resources in memory, for instance images, sounds or stinger transitions. Huge videos are played in a buffered disk access mode in any case. So in most cases memory amount isn't that typical issue.

Thats just my humble opinion. Possibly other folks here with more experience can provide further information regarding that.
