OBS making entire PC lag

I notice especially when I switch scenes or use screen capture, it makes my PC lag. Not sure what it looks like on the viewers' end (no one's said anything so far) but everything lags on my end for a few minutes and I get encoder overloading. I saw someone had a similar issue, so I remade my scene collection and only set it up for the prior stream so it has half of what I usually have set up (only game capture sand relevant sources). I did get a new GPU so I'm worried that may be part of the problem. I do believe everything is compatible though?

Remove the plugin you added.
Enable Windows Game Mode.
Enable browser hardware acceleration in OBS.
Run OBS as admin.

You have a big bottleneck between the CPU and the GPU. Probably the issue comes from this problem.
