Above is a video that I recorded with my phone to show you what the bug looks like.
Streaming with OBS has been PURE HEADACHE with this problem happening for months and not a clue on how to fix it.
This happens about every 5 seconds when streaming doom, and as you can see it's extremely obnoxious, even in the peripheral vision.
What I've tried:
- Updating OBS. Did not fix the problem. OBS is on the latest versions and the 2 previous OBS versions also had this bug.
- Updating Windows. Did not fix the problem. The bug has happened over the span of 3 entire updates from windows 10 (which I do every month or so).
- Updating graphics drivers. Did not fix the problem. Same as above.
- Changing the capture mode. Did not fix the problem. Full screen / windowed / game capture / window capture, no matter the settings I use, the OBS window keeps on flashing.
There's *nothing* in the logs when the flashing happens, and my viewers also see nothing abnormal: the streaming and recording video output is not affected; only the OBS window. The bug also happens if I turn OFF the preview.
If I *record* doom, but do not stream, the problem does not seem to happen, which is odd. Also it does not happen when I stream other games; only with doom.
This problem has been plaguing my streaming and seriously removing any enjoyment and relaxation I may have with my viewers by making every living moment a technical debacle without apparent solution.
I need help.
