obs-mac-virtualcam.plugin missing from DAL folder

Last year I uninstalled OBS cause I was no longer using it. I also deleted obs-mac-virtualcam.plugin from the DAL folder cause OBS would still show up as a webcam option even after uninstall. Today I installed OBS again but the virtual camera function is not working and the obs-mac-virtualcam.plugin is missing from the DAL folder. When I hit 'Start Virtual Camera' nothing happens. I tried both the latest and older versions and having the same issue. I'm on Monterey 12.6.3

OBS does copy the file to the plugin folder, in case it is missing. macOS asks for your permission to do so. Maybe you accidentally closed the permission window?
In any case: Try to copy it manually.
It lives here: /Applications/OBS.app/Contents/Resources/obs-mac-virtualcam.plugin
