OBS losing audio from ATEM Mini

Newbie here although we have been using OBS with the ATEM Mini for a few months at our church. We broadcast twice each Sunday. In the AM we use a Church streaming service - can't remember what it is called. It has worked pretty well with OBS. In the PM we stream to Facebook. We have consistently had issues with FB. What happens is - everything is going fine, the all of a sudden (randomly) the audio vue meter stops. I have to go into the ATEM Mini settings in OBS and Uncheck "Custom Audio Device", then say OK, then go back in and recheck "Custom Audio Device", then say OK to get the audio to work again.

Then all of a sudden this morning, we lost audio about 7 times during the AM broadcast. I am attaching the log file. Hopefully someone can make sense of this. It is really frustrating!

Tonight I had OBS and the ATEM Mini Software running - was not streaming. And OBS lost audio 3 or 4 times! Have to turn Custom Audio Off and back ON to get audio back into OBS! What is WRONG with OBS???

We have the same issue also. It's very frustrating. If I can get anything out in terms of logs then I don't mind.

If I look at the audio meter on the ATEM control, then it looks like a signal is being received, so its either not being sent on (blackmagics fault) or dropped via OBS)

Lots of "EOI missing" warnings in your log. These are corrupt jpeg images in the mjpeg from the Atem, so there are video issues as well, even if you can't see them. Your computer is 2nd generation i7, legacy 2011, with the original version of USB 3, and your Windows 10 build hasn't been updated since November, 2019. My first thought is your computer/USB may not be up to the task, as OBS and BlackMagic devices run better than this. You should try again with the most recent computer you can find/borrow, and reassess the performance.

Same problem here! This could be a deal beaker for buying more ATEM products. In some forums google chrome is to blame for audio loss between ATEM and OBS. Some streams with no google chrome open - there was no audio loss. But when i need to stream via Youtube - use seperate audio mixer and dont use ATEM mini for audio. This is my nightmare - unable to use ATEM MINI!
And sometimes rechecking audio devices doesn`t work as well. :(
We should check black magic forums for this.

I have the same problem with ATEM extrem ISO on an up-to-date PC (ryzen 9 and GTX 1660 Ti) I also have image loss and yet I am well in 25p everywhere

I recently ran into this after a bunch of streams going perfectly then all of a sudden one day, the audio randomly quits in obs from the atem mini pro. I have to do the same thing as the first person by unchecking custom audio device and then checking it again to get the audio back. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Good Morning. This happened to me TWICE last night during a stream. For absolutely no reason the sound just "fainted". Visual was fine / continued. It was JUST the sound. Had to quit OBS, break the stream, restart it and then it was fine. Then maybe 45 mins later did the same damn thing again.

Hi mate, its a deal breaker for OBS, not the Atem. The Atem is outputting absolutely fine. When OBS "faints" the Multiview continues to show the visuals and audio meters bouncing absolutely fine. Restarting OBS makes its work so its the software that's at fault.
I'm giving very serious consideration to vMix which is £50 /mth (or £700 one off lifetime but no more updates after 1st year) but if that's going to be more stable and have a better online support system then it'll be money well spent. Plus of course I factor the costs into my invoices + it's a business expense too.
