OBS Logo Invasion

I recently wanted to test out OBS and like it so far. However, after downloading, OBS has changed my default image in external applications - teams, skype, and I even had a facebook call yesterday and my display image was the OBS logo. Please could somebody explain how it happened and how to remove it? Not sure why this would be a desired feature.

Thanks

This is the virtual camera feature that enables you to output the obs output as a virtual webcam to use in other applications. Just make sure you switch back to your real camera in the other applications settings when you don't want to use obs. Or just add the camera to obs and start the virtual camera output.

Right. Is there any way to just prevent that from making my display picture the OBS logo? I don't want OBS to automatically decide that its logo should be my display picture.

OBS only provides a virtual camera, it doesn't set itself as your display picture automatically anywhere. It happens sometimes that programms automatically switch to the newly installed camera , you just have to switch back to your real camera then.
