Hi all,
Reason I tagged this as feedback/suggestion is the simple fact that this "issue" is solvable but not in a great way for logitech users.
For a long time headsets of Logitech were recognized as "speakers" instead of headphones. Since the latest update of Logitech Gaming Software (8.76) this has been fixed, which has a lot of advantages in gaming and general. Simple reason, it's an headset with virtual surround. Anyway now that has been "fixed" (most important for users of G35's and G930's) there's a new issue which solely aims at OBS now.
There's a "hollow" sound now in OBS while recording/streaming. It's like you're in a big empty room or a bathroom. Now this is now what users are hearing themselves ofcourse. But OBS does register it that way. My question is, will there be surround support or is there a way to work around this? Note that there is a fix which isn't great but "workable". This fix is for Logitech users to simply roll back to older software which has it's issues like, auto turn-off of headsets, random disconnects etc. (Also these have massive 'homemade' fixes but got adressed in the latest update).
All in all, Logitech users can stick to old software and not having issues with OBS but issues with the old software of Logitech in general versus updating, having everything to work smoothly except OBS. Here's some random footage of a surround test I was doing and using OBS to record that. (I recorded this because the test was funny).
My question to the devs, will there be a fix for this or some kind of surround support? Just something to get rid of this weird stuff.
(For now I will just roll back since I stream a lot these days)

Another small one, here a youtube video plays in the background.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq3lAnNHziA
Edit:
This is a video for sound with the old Logitech Software. You can note it is a lot clearer and sounds perfectly normal.
