Hey Guys, First time Positing and somewhat newer to the OBS System. That being said. I have installed the newest version of OBS on both my mac Pro 2013 ( The Trash Can) and 2016 Macbook Pro 15" (Touchbar) For the record It is the 8 core xeon with 32 Gigs of memory and has the dual on board GPU's.
during my stream at (4K), it appears to be smooth for the most part.
CB says that im streaming out at 29-30 FPS at an avg of 16-18 MBPS. I do see some dropped frames from time to time... Are the dropped frames those of the encoder? or dropped by the network?
I know that my bandwidth and CPU are right where they need to be. The CPU Usage is Under 40% . But for some reason even after using the wizard to set it up (OBS) OBS Shows that it is only setting up around 15.74 fps.
I set my encoder to Ultrafast as someone had told me to.. If I went to the middle one or lower, I would get an encoder Overload.. Am I correct in assuming that this is a limitation of the onboard GPU? If this is actually the case, what I did in Pre-prep was I purchased the Blackmagic Decklink Studio 4K as I had read on their site that this card does support not only 4k but OBS as well as final cut studio...
If someone can give me some insight as to wherther or not I am on the right path to recctifying the stream issues. I would be most appreciative. Also any other recommendations would be amazingly appreciated..
