Hello Everyone,

Not sure if I can fix this problem of not -- I am using a MAC Book Air to produce video - Recording and Streaming at the same time. I will upload the Log file since I do not have a clue what I am looking at. Thanks in advanced for your assistance.

Video of post can be seen @ https://youtu.be/5dAW2un8wsc

Thanks,
Chris

You are overloading your GPU:

09:45:14.497: Output 'simple_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 18 (56.2%)

09:45:23.823: Output 'simple_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 79 (59.8%)

09:47:39.593: Output 'simple_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 2461 (55.6%)

More than half the time, when OBS wants to render a frame so it can be encoded, it can't because the GPU is busy doing something else. I can see from your logfile that you make multiple adjustments, but these are all to the encoder settings and will not resolve this issue. Encoding happens after the rendering-- if rendering is lagged, this lag will show up on recordings and streams, and no amount of adjustment to encoding settings will help.

Speaking from experience, a MacBook Air of any vintage is a less than ideal platform for using OBS. To try and alleviate the problem, I would make sure no other applications are running on the MacBook. If you're trying to run OBS and a PowerPoint deck on the same machine, I am not sure you will get good results on this hardware. You might also try and reduce the complexity of your scenes if possible, and possibly reduce resolution from 720p30 to something lower.

Laptops in general aren't great, unless they are the kind with a gaming GPU in them, and even those have certain limitations.
