Ok, so i've had this issue for a long time now and I have tried so many different settings to try and fix this issue, but nothing seems to work. I have an i5-6600k and a 1070 Strix. My upload speed is 6mbp/s which is enough to stream with. The issue is that when I am in game, I will have 150+ fps in game, but my OBS preview will show that it's dropping and fluctuating a ton from 60fps. It will go as low as 20fps at some points.

Advanced settings: https://gyazo.com/ab2342d0715e9825fd822d06daa7d390

I don't know what else I can do at this point which is why i'm coming here for help. My computer is obviously good enough to stream as well as my internet speed. Thank you.

Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 727/7686 (9.5%)

CPU Load is too heavy.
Use profile superfast or ultrafast

I tried both of those prior to that, I also was on Ultrafast when I made this so that didn't help at all...

PvPurge -

I've been having the same issue suddenly and I love trying to figure this stuff out. I've been messing with different settings for 30+ hours.

May I ask ... How are you capturing H1Z1 and is it a 4k source?

Like the superfast/ultrafast didn't help it :L

For giggles set H1Z1 to 1280x720 in game, use game capture, and report back.
I just found out the CPU usage Preset was on veryfast, I just tried superfast and ultrafast and they helped with that issue but it drops down to 40-20 frames just in the preview. every 7 seconds or so it will lag

Thats what I figured.

I have a pretty hot rig (i7-6950x, 64Gb RAM, 1080Ti x 2 all on water) and I used to be able to stream a 4K source (display capture, game capture, whatever, 1080 canvas, 720p60fps out) but something with the new OBS / Win10 update / NVIDIA driver or some combo thereof has caused OBS to shit the bed as soon as I introduce a high resolution source.

If I drop the source down just a bit (in my case 2550 x 1440 from 4k) OBS will maintain 60fps solid. Add back the 4k source and OBS dips to 20fps ... sometimes down to 5fps. No diminishing returns.

I've been using OBS for years and I know my way around the software. Love it but something is amiss here ... Potentially not OBS's doing but some new update or driver as can be easily witnessed on this forum.

Look at this forum. Look at the OBS reddit. Its littered with the same posts about stuttering fps. We have a problem Houston.

But, for you PvPurge my man ... Have you tried DXtory? It "might" help you until this bug is squished.

I use to have DXtory but I didn't really care for it, I've been using NVIDIA Shadowplay to livestream, but I just prefer OBS for obvious reasons.
