Question / Help Obs lagging the game without recording and when recording

So, I have a big issue with obs, when I open it it starts stuttering my whole game for no reason because I'm not streaming or even recording, and when I am it still stutters. Does anyone has an idea why It does? Thanks :)

Don't use CBR for recording, use CRF or CQP. CBR is mostly for streaming.

You're overloading your encoder.

As for the other issue-- OBS is a compositor, it is always rendering frames, even when not recording or streaming. You can reduce some of this load by turning off the preview, but most of your performance issue in the log is related to encoding.

Lower your frame size / frame rate, or go to a faster CPU preset, or use the AMF encoder.
