OBS lagging on 144hz monitor

Hello, I recently upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor and I am having issues with obs recording my gameplay in poor fps. I tried many things to fix it, such as changing 144hz to 120hz, running obs in admin mode, downscaling canvas and output to 1080p, and reducing bitrate but nothing has improved. Before I had that problem, I recorded with a 1080p 60hz monitor and it recorded 95% of the time good (sometimes I received random shutters and they usually lasted for at least 2 min). I should also note that I am playing on an emulator and the max the games can run is 60 fps unfortunately.

I adjusted obs settings from 60 to 120 fps to see if that would work and turns out it kind of solves the stuttering issue. However, the video looks choppy when I convert it from 120 to 60 fps with an editing software. I also tried changing my 1440p monitor to 60hz and it sort of works too but I prefer not to change the monitor settings every time I want to record on my emulator.

Here are my computer specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super
16 GB Ram
1 TB SSD
1440p 144hz and 1080p 60hz monitor

And recording settings:

Post a logfile from a live streaming or recording session where the issue took place. We need it to be able to diagnose almost any issue. There is a pinned thread at the top of the forum with instructions on how to post one.

If you are on Win10 before the 2004 patch, there is a long-standing bug with Windows about 3D accelerated applications when running displays at different refresh rates. The fix is to either run all of your monitors at the same refresh rate, or update Windows to the 2004 or 20H2 patch.

Update: I found the solution to my problem. I switched from CBR to QCP and set the value to 13. The file is a lot bigger but the amount of stuttering has been reduced by A LOT. I can finally watch my recorded videos in 60 fps 95% of the time smoothly. Correct me if I'm wrong but lower QCP means less stuttering but with the cost of a larger file(?) That is what has happened from my experience and I am glad to have finally find a solution. Also, there was no need to switch my main monitor to 60hz whenever I recorded.

Thought I should say this to let others who are having problems see this response.
