Hi at the moment i'm trying to setup obs to record gameplay but i'm having issues, whenever i start the recording obs recording fps likes to drop down to 30-40 fps but only when the mouse cursor is in the game and i'm playing if i'm tabbed out or on another screen obs gets stable 60 fps and the obs preview has no stutters.

System Specs:
ryzen 1600x
gtx 1060 3GB (running main monitor at 1440p 144hz)
16GB DDR4
8TB of storage

Obs Settings:

Output
Recording Format: mkv
Audio Tracks: 3
Encoder: x264
Rate Control: CRF
CRF: 14
Keyframe: 0
CPU Usage: Superfast
Profile: None
Tune: None

Video
Base: (Canvas) Resolution 2560x 1440
Output: (Scaled) Resolution 1920x 1080
Downscale: Filter 32 samples
fps: 60

I don't care about file sizes they can be as big as they need if the issue is resolved.
the log file is from recording overwatch for about a min.

Have you tried lowering the FPS of the video options? Maybe the stream has lag (even if only when playing) is because your pc can't stream with those options...

Yea I can try that I know what the issue is now, my GPU is at max load when playing games, so I'm just going to upgrade to a gtx 1070
