So recently ive encountered much decline in my fps everytime i open OBS or record with it, from 60 fps it goes to 15 fps, and after recording, i watch the video i recorded it is also choppy and one more problem is that i cant use my nvidia encoder since it says my drivers are not updated although they are (Nvidia Geforce Experience auto update) send help please

The 840m is not a GTX mobile series gpu, it's only a GT mobile series, and thus isn't supported for Shadowplay/NVENC.

But seeing as how you have a really "meh" laptop. (that i7 is only like a low end desktop i3) I'm not sure you can record at all really. Also your Hard Drive speed will greatly effect your recordings, and you generally want a hard drive dedicated for recordings to be put on with no other programs being run off it.
