OBS Keeps Crashing When Switching or Minimizing Games

Hello I am having an issue where OBS keeps crashing when I switch or minimize the game I am playing. I have tried asking for help on the OBS windows support on discord but nobody there seems to know why it's crashing. I was advised to reinstall OBS without any of the plugins that i was using (plugins were for background blur and eventually background removal). Upon reinstalling OBS, I saw NVIDIA Background removal was a filter I could use without installing any plugins so I thought it was safe to use this. The crashing persists despite a fresh OBS install and no plugins. Can I get help with this crash issue, it has been persistent for 2 weeks now. Please let me know any information you may need.

I'm having this same exact issue. I think it has to do with either the program itself or windows 11 compatibility. I've also tried reinstalling and OBS freezes/constantly crashes randomly when minimizing or closing programs.

I have had the same problem. Ever since I made the switch to windows 11 I have had nothing but problems streaming. I used to use streamlabs OBS but i have heard of time and time again that OBS studio runs better performance wise. That being said after my switch to windows 11 I also decided to switch to OBS studio. It did not help my situation. Both programs just freeze anytime I switch games or change scenes too fast. Doesn't make a ton of sense since I get 400 mbps as well as having an RTX 3060, a ryzen 7 3700x and 16 GB of RAM. Not to mention I never struggled with anything before. I tried some “fixes” I found in some youtube videos such as changing compatibility mode and stuff but absolutely nothing is working.
