Question / Help OBS keeps crashing on Catalina

I upgraded to Catalina directly from High Sierra a week ago, and since then OBS keeps crashing. Sometimes it crashes while interacting with the stream studio page on YouTube. But it also crashes randomly, especially after waking the computer from sleep. I am not sure if it is conflicting in some way with Zoom which I am also trying to run, in order to stream conversation on Zoom via OBS. Last log and crash report attached.

Hi,

I have a similar issue with OBS. I have a OOB MacBook Pro provided with Catalina OS and I keep getting crashes. I do not stream. I use it as a recording tool to archive online meetings. The crashes happen while recording or simply while the application is on standby. Here's my last log and crash report attached.

I'm not an expert by any imagination but have you tried running OBS via terminal? I notice that there are some issues with OBS and Catalina and it seems that running through terminal solves a lot of these. Just a thought.

thanks for the suggestion. How do you launch it from Terminal?

I tried launching from Terminal but OBS still crashes periodically, as before. It seems to crash sometimes while I’m interacting with Safari, and also when computer wakes from sleep. But it’s not consistent. Any help appreciated.

Long shot here, but both logs report a crash in the hotkey processing thread. If you do have hotkeys defined I'd try running without any.
