Question / Help OBS isnt working

good morning i am very new to this stuff and still cant get it to work for me ive tryed everything to get this to work for me all i get is the black screen on window cap,game cap i cant figure what to do just shows a blackscreen is all here is a streaming log https://gist.github.com/8ad3e863ac3fb8df300d86ce3639373b and here is one without streaming https://gist.github.com/9728d016310c06cc84615a065af73224 but my computer specs are HP Pavilion g6 notebook,windows 10,AMD A6-4400M APU Radeon HD graphics 2.7 GHz,4gb of ram,64-bit system x64 base processor plz help me i wanna make my stream better for my followers and also no elgato or nothing like that and also on OBS 17 too if u need more info i will try my best to get it for you

should i change my graphics card or should use the classic version of obs n im ona laptop i didnt say that in my first post

ok i think ive tryed everything for real this time lol uninstalled obs 17 n tryed the classic obs just to see what it will do get the same results just a black screen but i read one thread that with laptops that gpu run 2 pharse A n B to conserve battery if have a Nvidvi 3D u change it to will show same phase as obs but with AMD u cant it locks you out from doing that sadly AMD is what i have in my laptop so i thinking that is the problem i am having is that i dont know if anyone esle has any ideas on my problem but thats only thing i can figure out that is my problem dont have the money to buy a desktop to stream with another gpu to put in my laptop so i can access what phase i am on for that matter just go back to snap twitch on my xbox and useing my laptop for the dashboard thanks in advance if anyone can help me witht his or have any advice im going to continue to watch this thread for any answers noir im going to totally give up on OBS either

Try to run OBS Studio as admin. When you get black screen, make sure that there is only single source ('Game Capture' or 'Display Capture') in the scene collection. At least, single source should work for you.

I've done all that run as admin n not as admin trying one capture at a time weather it be game, window or even display but with display I get a fading windows I mean the same image but the windows are fading away kinda like a hallway of mirrors guessing the best way to put it thanks for the advice thou I greatly appreciate it

I'm trying to run OBS with my xbox one on twitch but I have noticed that I can't snap my twitch app on my xbox one and start streaming with OBS cuz I see they are bumpping heads cuz OBS tells twitch to.start streaming but I've already started the stream with snapping it on my xbox so that's something else I have to figure but I seen where if you use the windows 10 feature where u stream the xbox n your computer together and then u can use OBS to capture the window and stream it that way but all I get is a black screen and OK here is another thing I've tried is just capturing my web browser it shows that I can pick chrome to capture but it still a black screen again so that set me back to square again so that's why I say it the GPU with the A n B phase OBS is running phase my monitor is running on the other phase n oh I see that's why I have the hall of mirrors here is the thread I'm talking about the GPU phase stuff https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/ and here is a video I was talking about the windows 10 n Xbox streaming feature to help explain it better about what I'm saying https://youtu.be/MVrsQQjhSio

Your PC has one (single) video card - nothing same to the multi-GPU systems you mentioned.

In both log files you provided, OBS Studio not running as admin. Try to run the OBS Studio with the same access rights as target application. Also, capturing the Chrome with 'Display Capture' still possible (for Window Capture you need to disable hw acceleration in Chrome itself).

ok ive what you told me got the window capture working it shows chrome when i do the window capture on it finally a step moving forward but when i do game capture it doesnt show my twitch i got my stream key and all done thing is how do i stream my xbox without snapping the app on my xbox thats the only way i can broadcast now is by doing that i cant snap the app on the xbox n start the stream in obs they but heads basically this where i get lost at but is that the reason i get a black screen cuz its not streaming anything or should it show my offline background cobfused on that part i willl get another log in just a sec for got to make one thanks for the help finally more forward alil

well i was going to get you log for the xbox app streaming but i cant run the xbox app on my laptop as admin for some reason ive looked at every possiable thing it still shows a black when trying to capture it

If you want to stream with OBS, don't stream with the app on your xbox. You can only stream from one device at a time.

kk i gotcha my main question is thou how do you do that exactly when i use game capture just has a black screen im not sure what i doing wrong with this part i know i cant use the app on xbox if i stream with obs but how do they connect guessing is my question if im not snapping the app on my xbox

If you're not using a hardware capture device in your PC, the only way you'd be able to do it is by using the xbox app on your PC and capturing that, which (I think) you've been trying to do as well. I don't know if Game Capture will work with the Xbox app. Display capture should work. As you only have one screen, you will of course need to bring the xbox app to the front once the capture is started.

right cuz i get the hallway of mirrors when i do the display capture cuz i only have one screen and ive tryed capturing the xbox app it dont show up just a black screen it will capture my google chrome thou when i run both as admin but cant run the xbox app in admin thou wont let me do it

Roger that boss thanks so much for all your help n everyone for that matter but I was already figuring I need to upgrade my laptop but might go with desktop I'm sure there are laptop good enough to handle it but probably cost like 2 or 3k for it with some good specs last question do you have suggestions on any good laptops or could just upgrade parts in the one I have now? if I could parts in the one I have now what would you suggest?

Even desktop is hard to upgrade... Your laptop almost impossible to upgrade to decent level. New modern PC is the best solution. Desktop will be faster than a laptop of the same price and would produce much more noise. This is general suggestions I have on "buy new PC".
