I have been using OBS on OS X with little issue, but ever since getting a gtx 1070, im relegated to shitty ass windows since OS X doesnt have pascal drivers yet. Ive been using OBS on windows for about a month and its nothing but problems. Always crashing etc. I have a 4790k with a 1070 so i dont want to hear anything about my hardware not being up to snuff. Currently, OBS is stuck on "stopping recording". I stopped the recording about 25 minutes ago and it still says this. I absolutely need the footage as it cannot be recreated (unboxed and built an entire PC from scratch). Why in the love of f*** am I having any OBS issues in 2016 with a 4790k and a 1070 on windows 10? This should be the ideal setup, and its nothing but problems. Apparently, I cannot "Salvage" the footage since I record with MP4 (who the f*** wants flv when they are going to drag and drop the footage into an NLE)? So, what can I do? It hasnt crashed, it is still there. Furthermore, since it was set to record at 10 FPS, the cpu was only like at 5 percent usage, so i didnt get any warnings for frame drops or anything like that.
