OBS is not processing more than one track.

This issue is the reason why I created my account. Apologies if this was WAY too quick of a post, considering that at the time I'm writing this, my account isn't even a few minutes old (maybe it's about half an hour old at this point, since I'm done writing and now you can see this), but I'm just really concerned about my OBS config.

OBS 28.x and higher dropped support for my video card, so I can't record with my desired settings. I've been staying on the last release of 27.x (27.2.4) ever since I found out about this. However, the caveat to the downgrade was that I, for some reason, could now only record 1 audio track. That track was my desktop audio.

Now, you must be thinking at this point, "Oh boy, another one of these. I bet they haven't tried remuxing and shoving the footage into Vegas Pro."
Well, you'd be wrong! OBS is ACTUALLY not rendering the second track. If this is a bug, then I'm screwed, because if I upgrade to 28.x again, I'll have to adjust my settings again, and what I last tried was EXTREMELY resource intensive, far too much to even perform basic tasks (the least amount of CPU usage I could get while recording with wonky settings on 28.x was in the high 50%s. On OBS 27.2.4 I can record in 1080p60 with little to no CPU usage spikes). If I tried to use the settings I used in OBS 27 for the newer versions, it would give me an error about NVENC and encoders and stuff (I'm not experienced with encoder terminology, sorry).

No, the mic track is not muted. Yes, I have both audio tracks enabled in Output -> Recording. No, I do not stream.
When I import the footage to Vegas Pro, I only get video and 1 track (the desktop audio, like I mentioned before).
If I need to post my settings, I will, I'm extremely confused and this should be working. If I can't use OBS 27 properly anymore, this will be a problem for a video series I plan to record. Never have I ever had to manually voice-over for an entire video before, but thanks to this issue I have to. I don't think I'll record the second episode of the series till this issue gets fixed (or is even fixable WITHOUT upgrading). I tried switching screen recorders as a whole, but ScreenRec (the only half decent recorder that's freeware like OBS) doesn't record as smoothly, and as far as I know doesn't even support 60fps, which is just nasty. 30fps looks so gross to me now, and yes I'm being picky about framerate. That's why I didn't even make FreeCam 8 an option for me, I've used that screen recorder before for smaller and dumber videos, and yeah, it doesn't support 60fps at all, it has a "premium" (under a different name), and in extremely low resolutions I'm forced to work with it being fuzzy, because every software prefers bicubic resizing over nearest neighbour. That honestly is a pet peeve of mine.

My only guess as to why this is happening is maybe the sources I had in newer versions of OBS are loading in OBS 27 as invalid data, which throws the older encoder for a loop
Okay, so, update... I was kinda right??? I deleted all OBS 28 sources from my scenes, but now I get both audio tracks and no video. When I open it in VLC, the video is black for a majority of the clip then briefly comes back at the end. Importing the footage to Vegas, I just get the audio. What the heck is going on?

Update 2 (jfc what a mess): I recorded another clip and it's fine. I'm confused as heck now.

Update 3: Everything is working fine now, but the CPU usage is suddenly just as resource intensive as on OBS 28 and higher, even with my desired settings. It literally started lagging out of nowhere, and all I had open was Discord and Undertale (and OBS of course).

Update 5: I changed the file format to M3U8 and it works fine now. Minus the significant increase in file creations, I see this as a win. I'll update if any problems occur with M3U8.
