Question / Help OBS is choppy laggy.

My settings are set for 720p 60 fps.

My CPU is an i5 4460 @ 3.2 Ghz (no overclocking)
my GPU is a GTX 1050 (I don' tthink GPU's have anything to do with OBS)

My bit rate is 2500 and I have 4 upload speed yet my stream is choppy and laggy.

Shadowplay works fine, not chopping and skipping frames, its only OBS.

Try using NVEC vs x264?

Thanks that seemed to work, can I ask why I can't use x264? is my GPU not good enough?

It seems that your i5 CPU is not quite enough to game AND stream aka encode via x264 thus perhaps offload the encoding duties to your GPU via NVEC though I hear that it does not look decent via NVEC unless its a min of 3500 bitrate due to "poorer" encoding versus x264.

Nevermind, it gets extremely bad when I'm in a fight :/. I will stick to shadowplay until I upgrade.
