I'd like to know why installing OBS breaks FL Studio sizing on Windows 10.This was with OBS 29.1.1 which I installed less than 2 weeks ago. I opened FL Studio and the UI was massive compared to before - I could hardly fit anything on screen, particularly at 1080p (pictured below).
I just did some trouble shooting and found that when I uninstall OBS it works again.
Before uninstalling OBS @ 2560x1440, Font Size 100%
After uninstalling OBS @ 2560x1440, Font Size 100%
This is a massive difference although it might not be apparent with the empty project, but I wasn't going to wait 5 minutes for my project to load each time I tried something. I have to close and open FL after changing display settings to have them take effect.
Some more info:
1. FL sizes the UI based on the font size of the system. If I go to 4k and set 200% font size it'll be the same size as 1080 at 100% font size.
2. While OBS was installed, changing the font size settings did NOT change what was displayed. Not only that, it appeared to render font at the same size as my max resolution no matter what. That is - if I went to 4k it was what I would expect. If I went to 3k it was ~150% larger than I'd expect. If I went to 1080 it was 200% larger than I'd expect (doing rough math off the top of my head but I think it checks out). If I went to 4K and selected 200% font size, it did not change at all.
3. Windows itself did change icon sizes + font + UI with font change settings. I did not try any other apps.
This could be FL doing something wrong, but in order to go to them with anything useful to report I'd need to know what OBS could possibly be doing that breaks the way windows font size settings work. Does anyone have any idea what OBS could be doing to change how these settings work or are exposed to other applications?
