Question / Help OBS image slideshow

My goal is to have a new random image displayed every 10 seconds or so, automatically.
(My folder of static images is 461.2GB in size.) (no gifs.)

I've tried using image slideshow to accomplish this, however after fiddling around for awhile, I realised that OBS seems to store all the images into ram at once, instead of just loading 2-3 into ram and unloading the last used image from memory once it's been used. Unfortunately for me, this is not an ideal situation as the images I'm wanting to display are quite large in size, and OBS can only handle about 100 or so, before it crashes from lack of memory.

I've searched on and off for about 2 weeks trying to solve the issue thus far.
Is there any solution to this issue? Or a plugin someone knows about?

(The only alternative solution I've thought of trying is to use window capture + program XYZ, but I'm not sure of any program that could do this like the image slideshow in OBS.)

I have no idea how to use or install this type of thing, and from the looks of the "automatic slideshow" I'd need to write out every filename into the script?

This doesn't really sound like a feasible solution at the moment, with the amount of images I have.
If there is a way to dynamically access all the files in a folder, I'd definitely try to use this.

Thanks for the reply!
