Hi! First, please post a log from a recording session so we can get a better picture of your system setup and OBS Studio settings. Second, please describe the issue you're having in detail. Is the video blocky? Are the colors smeared? Is the video pixelated? Is the audio clear, or is it muffled? Please provide example videos, if you can.

You're downscaling your video to 1092x614 and recording at a low, fixed, bitrate. CBR is best for streaming but variable rates will give you better results for video.

Try setting your output (scaled) resolution to the same as your base resolution. Set your rate control to CRF and CRF value to 22. See how things look then.

Alternatively try using one of the Simple output modes.

Post a new log based on your new results.

Also please don't keep bumping your thread, people respond when they have time.

Settings are looking better, although the skipped frame indicates we're bumping against the limits of what your system's capable of. Bear in mind that you're not going to get "perfect" because you're recording to a lossy compression format. Switching to 30fps will give you twice as many bits to use for each frame you encode, though.

i switched to 30 fps, same quality nothing changed... what should i do man? tell me the steps.. how come i can record games with fraps and make tremendous files with 1080 full HD quality with no fucking pixels, everything clear and smooth and with obs im not able to? hows that possible? whats the deal with OBS? also im pretty sure that my system is capable... i got ssd/12gbram nice video card intel i7... whats the deal?

Well, for one thing, Fraps just grabs the frames and stores them with very little compression. OBS uses H264 compression and also has a compositing engine for merging additional sources into the finished video, because it's primarily a tool for streamers.

Basically the difference is that OBS does a lot more and that additional stuff uses both CPU and GPU resources.

The value you're using for CRF falls into the "visually lossless" range, so if you're still seeing significant differences in the recorded video from the original video, something else must be wrong. What exactly is the problem that you're seeing, with videos with the new settings? Again, including logs would be helpful.

You're running on a laptop, with a mid-grade i7, with a graphics card that was considered mid-grade when it was released over two years ago. Your system may be capable of many things, but all things have limits.

If you really want lossless video, you could use Simple Output Mode with Lossless Quality, but you need a lot of disk space for that.

As @Simes said, providing logs after you've made changes always helps us understand the problem better.
