Whenever I record long sessions, it's fine but it seems like small seconds long clips is where it'll trip up. I'll use the Display Recorder to record a snippet and the resulting clip will often either be far shorter than it actually recorded for or blacken out half-way in. The only solution I've seen is to record a few seconds longer than I should just to ensure it records all of what I need it to.
