Title basically says it all. The XCapture-1 is working fine in OBS when i bypass the matrix.
The XCapture-1 works fine in VideoKeeper (software provided by the manufacturer) through the matrix.
The moment i try to use OBS with the XCapture-1 as the source, i get one of a couple of results:
- Green screen (switching inputs on the matrix or disabling and re-enabling the XCapture-1 gets past this most times, but leads to the frozen frame strobe)
- Black screen (the above fix works for this too, but again leads to frozen frame strobe)
- a "frozen" frame from the video of whatever i had going the moment signal got through, rapidly flashing on and off, almost as if a strobe effect was being applied. And i do mean frozen. any change i do on the game doesn't get reflected in the preview in OBS.
i need a x4 matrix for my setup and i'd rather not go out and purchase another piece of hardware unless i know for sure it will work. I've captured and recorded video using VideoKeeper in the past, but i have need for some features that OBS has.
So far, my only solution has been to run VideoKeeper and then using OBS with a window as a source to get the video from Video Keeper over OBS, but this really isn't a good long term solution in my eyes. Since videoKeeper functions in this setup just fine, and since OBS only chokes on this when the video signal is passed through the matrix, i can only think that this has something to do with how OBS is interpreting the signal from the XCapture-1 when the actual source is going through the matrix and that maybe this is only a settings issue.
i've played with driver settings in the XCapture-1 source within OBS but got nowhere.
Matrix Input/Sources i'll be using:
Xbox One X
Wii U
PS4
Xbox 360
Sega Saturn connected through an XRGB-Mini
Matrix Outputs:
Panasonic Plasma
XCapture-1 to an HP Laptop running Windows 10
Viewsonic Monitor
The matrix is pretty generic (CMLUX-44S), and it is HDMI 1.3 so it is older, but fully functional from what i can tell. I've tried different input and output ports.
Here is a video of the strobe thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLln02i3i54
Another video this time showing VideoKeeper working as well as OBS not working: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yECfpSAG3pc
Here is the log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/y4GHWtKT2A2K7uQU
can anyone help me out?
thanks
