Question / Help Obs Game Capture Help! Please!

I installed OBS a while back but I thought it was crap, I then tried to use it now, and I set the settings to what I want. I recorded terraria and it worked fine, but then I tried to record a game called Dishonored and my fps wasn't dropping while playing, it was still at 60, but when watching back the recording it had lots of tiny stops in the video and audio and lags. I tried setting my resolution downscale all the way to 2.25 and it didn't stop the twitches. \

I don't know how to post a "log" or my "specs" so if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. Like maybe tell me how to do those 2 things and then you could help me further. (Good, just making sure you don't click away)

Hi! There is a sticky in this forum for how to post a log that has all the information on how to find and post a log file.

However, based on this statement:
I tried setting my resolution downscale all the way to 2.25 and it didn't stop the twitches.
that sounds like you've installed OBS Classic rather than OBS Studio. I would suggest either installing OBS Studio, or requesting that this thread be moved to the OBS Classic section of the forum.

Well, I watched best settings for obs and my obs looks exactly the same to theirs and also if you're judging by the "all the way down" the lowest it can go is 3.00 btw.

No, I mean that OBS Classic and OBS Studio are two different pieces of software. OBS Studio does not use ratio numbers for its output scaling option. Your OBS might look the same as the guide you saw, but to me, that just means that they were also using OBS Classic.

Please post a log.

As I suspected, you're using OBS Classic. This is the support section for OBS Studio. Either switch to OBS Studio, and then post an OBS Studio log from a session with the problem, or we can have your thread moved to the appropriate forum section.

Studio. Classic is no longer being developed. If you're just starting out, then I'd highly recommend starting with Studio. Transitioning later will only be painful. The only reason to stay with Classic is if it has a specific feature that you absolutely need that Studio does not yet provide. Check this spreadsheet to compare.
