Question / Help OBS game capture black screen

My OBS wont capture lol in game. Im using a game capture to do it but it comes up as a black screen. I've tried to play about with all of the options but no combo works. Also tried running OBS as admin, but also doesnt work

I had this happen this morning after I closed obs while a game was in the preview screen I had to uninstall restart PC and reinstall it fixed the problem

Thats pretty radical. You sure it worked and was the same problem? Dont really want to have to do that if its not going to work

@EBrito , This message means that from all the windows, one belongs to "explorer.exe" application and due to hi-jack of graphics hook (or other reason) the application was blacklisted from the capture. There is a list of applications that cannot be captured via a 'Game Capture' source (Capture foreground window with hotkey mode for example).
The list is hardcoded and user can't change this. The feature was introduced by the commit: https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/commit/bf166c07f47bdc4bbbf2ad87c7a52da704050680 about v0.15.3 or so.

The current list of the blacklisted applications (v0.16.6):
- windows explorer
- steam
- battle.net
- gog galaxy
- skype
- uplay
- origin
- microsoft visual studio
- task manager
- windows 10 system settings window
- cmd

Use 'Window Capture' or 'Display Capture' source to be able to capture any of this applications.

Window capture doesnt come up with acknowledging the in game league as a window, and i cant do a display capture as im only using one monitor, hence the need for a game capture or the like. Is there any other way around this issue?

Well running as admin worked for me but the quality is shit compared to the original obs

THAT part is a problem with your settings, not with studio.

Sometimes i have the same bug that no game is captured, only reboot help, i dont know why.
Obs classic never had this issues.

Not likely my setting since they are the same as I have in obs original how can u try to say its me when I said I get better quality in obs original which gives me slightly more control over the settings

Classic doesn't give you more control over the settings, and you haven't provided an obs log.
Also at this point you're thread hijacking.
