Bug Report OBS Freezing when change scenes - freezes for up to 20sec

Hi,

I have a problem where OBS freezes when changing a between scenes - the freeze can occur for about 20 sec. There doesn't appear to be a pattern between any particular scene or another, or order of scenes. I have monitored the computer resources, and none (CPU, disk, memory, GPU) are anywhere near capacity. While OBS is in the frozen state, other programs do appear to function normally.

Logs, attached - any help is certainly most welcome!

(Logs were part of another post...but really a different issue)

Failures to load sources located on network volumes can cause this kind of problem, as each time you try to switch to a scene that includes them, OBS times out looking for the file.

Not recommended to load sources, especially video, from network shares. Move them locally if you can, if they no longer exist or are not needed, remove them-- don't just hide them. OBS tries to load them even if they are hidden.

Had bit of a play. I *think* I have resolved it.

A number of causes I think:
1. Windows Game Mode on.
2. Put files into their own local folder - and out onedrive reach, even locally held ones.
3. Removed any file links not used but held on the network.
4. As, one camera failed to present a pic, I added a PCI card for extra USB Capability.

Maybe a suggestion? I in the log files to maybe put a note if getting a file takes longer that a few seconds

Hopefully, this helps someone : ). My testing was done on a remote computer via Teamviewer.

Overall OBS is an outstanding piece of software - many thanks!

Kind Regards
D
