I have been twitch streaming for months with no problem. On wifi. 5G.
Only straight streaming, no video gaming.
Now, suddenly, my OBS freezes and my 2015 Macbook Air completely freezes up.
I am on Mojave 10.14.6. I know it won't work with Catalina apparently.
My browser is and has been Firefox.
So far tried all this:
Connected via ethernet directly to router.
Turned mac on/off again (multiple times)
Ran clean my mac (plenty of space and no malware)
Reset the SMC, and the PRAM/NVRAM
Ran diagnostic. No hardware issue
Updated the OBS software to 25.0.7 (64 bit)
Lowered my stream bit rate to 2500 kbps
Raised my computer off the table to get some air underneath.
Sacrificed a Platypus to Zorkon the Space God
Ran a test with my Logitech 920s not attached, and it seemed to work fine.
But then I did a stream without it attached, and it still froze up.
I have noticed that the bitrate display goes red before it freezes sometimes.
I have no idea what to do next.
Thanks in advance.
