OBS Freezing iRacing overlays

Whenever OBS is open (even when not streaming and with no scene), my overlays in iRacing freeze every few seconds when iRacing is the active window.
Whenever iRacing is no longer the selected window, the overlays work instantly.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled and still have the same issue.
