Hello All,
I am having quite the issue that I am not sure of the cause. Let me start with my hardware and software.
My PC is running Windows 10
Intel i7-6700k - 4.0 GHz
32GB of Ram
1 TB Hard Drive
128GB SSD for Boot Drive
NVidea 660Ti Graphics Card
30Ft Active USB Extension Running to another room where my Drum Kit is located.
7 Port Active USB Hub
--Both Powered and Working - Sending strong signals to PC--
1 Logitech c930e Webcam
2 Logitech c920 Webcams (Trying to use CamControl to run these but I am also having issues with this)
1 Behringer USB Analog Mixer for Audio
USB Keyboard for controlling my computer from the other room
---
So my goal is to make live drum covers and the obstacle I had to overcome was that my drum kit is in a separate room from my computer and my normal streaming equipment. - When streaming for games I usually use the c930e and 1 c920 and a Blue Snowball Microphone all attached to a USB hub which runs to my PC with no problem. - I figured this should be no different but since I am covering a greater distance I should use an active USB extension with a seperate powersource and also a USB hub that has its own power source.
---
My issue is very complicated. If it's not one thing going wrong it's another. I have all of my USB devices plugged in and they all are being recognized by my computer. When I open OBS the preview screen is blank other than my overlay meaning that there is no signal coming from the cameras. When I attempt to open the properties of the camera (which sometimes gives the camera a boost) OBS will sometimes freeze and then close. - This doesn't always happen. When it doesn't happen I am able to get at most two of the three cameras working.
There was one time when I had all three cameras however only one camera actually captured video, the others were all showing a still picture.
I apologize if I have confused anyone as I am extremely confused myself.
