OBS Freezes - repeats not stable no crash logs

I'm running MSFS2024, and while the sim itself runs fine, OBS keeps freezing. I have to force close it via Task Manager, and when I restart the stream, it freezes again.

There are no crash logs, but the last time it froze, the stream stopped for about 5 seconds before coming back. However, I couldn't click any buttons, though the audio mixer was still functioning.

And I do have hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HGAS) On I always had that off but with DLSS4 and gen mod It needed to be on?

Is it HAGS that doing it?

So I turned off HAGs and did a 10mins test stream and then another live stream for 20mins and did not freeze. However need to stream for a good hour to see the results.

And another new problem to face ;(

As soon as I go live my GPU usage goes to 50% with nothing running and just the game capture and since no game it's just a background wallpaper.

Via the task manager, it shows 50% and while it looks high I also noted that it is not even the 3D chip It's the Video encoding chip!

why is the task manager showing 50% as a full graph even though it's not using the 3d chip?

So when in gaming, the GPU is maxed out in total and starts to lag when hitting 100%

I have streamed MSFS2024 and Stream before and have never seen m,y GPU doing this, now out of the blue is being a poop.

1. Keep HAGS off.
2. In Windows, we recommend that "Game Mode" be enabled. Game Mode can be enabled via the Windows "Settings" app, under Gaming > Game Mode.
3. Run OBS as Admin.
4. Having the YUV Color range set to "Full" will cause playback issues in certain browsers and on various video platforms. Shadows, highlights and color will look off. In OBS, go to "Settings -> Advanced" and set "YUV Color Range" back to "Limited".
5. Display and Game Capture Sources interfere with each other. NEVER put them in the same scene (scene 'Main Scene Right'). It's also generally advised not to have Display and Window Capture Sources in the same scene (scene 'ATC').
6. Your log contains no streaming session. Results of this log analysis are limited. Please post a link to a clean log file.
To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:

1) Restart OBS as Admin.
2) Start your stream for at least 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Send that link here.

The option has been changed
1. Keep HAGS off.
That's when it gets interesting, Via not having the HAGs on, MSFS2024 and some other games become even worse performance and rather than the 3D graph showing via the task manager the graphics_1 graph shows and when going live the video encoding starts then at some point even with HAGs off OBS freeze, Then again with HAGs are on the games even with MSFS24 performance is back to normal and better.

Just did a 5 hours stream today in 2020 with HAGs on and OBS did not poop up even in that 5 hours stream. Only starts playing up in 2024, even that the GPU is only at 50% to 60%

5. Display and Game Capture Sources interfere with each other. NEVER put them in the same scene (scene 'Main Scene Right'). It's also generally advised not to have Display and Window Capture Sources in the same scene (scene 'ATC').
I edited the scenes, The ATC scene however is complicated to setup as the software isn't very user-friendly and so I may have to work around that more.

Update, now on 24H2 while in the heavy A350 at EGLL in msfs2024. Test stream for 20mins with no problems. I then quit to desktop to close the game and as soon as the game is closed, OBS dropped all bitrat and fooze on me, no crash logs. So how it can poop itself when the game is shut down

It's been a while, and I'm still facing the same issue.

I haven't played MSFS 2024 in three weeks. Since then, both OBS and MSFS have received updates. Today, I loaded the ATR in MSFS 2024 and started streaming. Everything ran fine for over 30 minutes—CPU usage was around 40%, and GPU usage was at 50%. Then, out of nowhere, OBS lost all bitrate and completely froze.

Error Message:

The program obs64.exe version 31.0.3.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

The strange thing is, this doesn't happen with MSFS 2020 or any other games—only MSFS 2024.

Why is it only affecting me? It works fine for others!
