So I got OBS a while ago, and it's been fun using it. I've only used it for recordings, though. I've been having all sorts of fun with OBS. I'd love to keep it if my framerate wouldn't be unwatchable. I was recording me playing Portal 2 and I'm guessing it was just my computer getting old since it was lagging a bit, but it wasn't too much. I have my framerate on OBS set to 48 FPS. It worked before, so I didn't think anything about it. However, after recording the video, I went to edit it. The framerate was fine until I actually started playing the game. Then it dropped below about 10 frames per second. Making it rather difficult to watch...
I'm assuming it's my processor, although I've never had this problem before. Here are my specs:
-1.3 GHz Intel Core i5
-8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM
-Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB
I'm on a mac, so I'm using the cross-platform edition. Here's some screenshots of my settings:
I'm not sure how to get my log file... So if someone could tell me that'd be great.
I'm assuming all I have to do is get a better computer, which I'm already saving up for. Internet won't matter, since I'm not streaming, I'm only recording. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
