Hello. So, whether I'm using my Elgato HD60 S+ game capture device for a console or simply using the Game Capture on OBS from an installed PC game, I'm always getting frame skips on my games. I'm using 1050Ti GPU, i7-8700 CPU, 16GB RAM.
It doesn't matter if I downscale or not, it doesn't matter what bitrate or quality presets I use, it doesn't matter if I'm recording or streaming at 30fps or 60fps or anything in between. OBS always gets frame skips. The game itself, however, has zero skips while playing (from console or PC). Only in OBS recording/streaming do the frame skips and stutter occur. I've tried changing properties for the Elgato in various ways, I've tried using defaults.
I've included a video. Paying attention to the trees in the background and the game scrolling in general, there are frequent skips and stutters. I have looked and looked and tried so many different things to remedy this, but to no avail. What other options do I have? Thanks for any help.
