Hi,
I have a 6700xt and an Intel i5 13400, and I'm trying to record my screen while gaming using my cpu's igpu with quicksync/vaapi, but the performance is terrible. Meanwhile, when I try and use the 6700xt with vaapi, I lose a significant number of frames (60 frames on an older game) when I use it's encoder to record the screen.
Right now, I'm trying to record at 1440p60 using the VAAPI HEVC codec VBR. While recording, I set the bitrate to 28000Kbps and max bitrate at 35000Kbps, this works well with my 6700xt, albeit with a siginicant frame dropoff, but it's a slideshow using my 13400. I'm using the latest stable version of the OBS flatpak, and have onevpl installed on my system. Am I missing something?
