When I stream using Sparkocam after a while I get this Error: Access violation at 0x0D0EF79C (tried to write to 0x0D0EF79C), program terminated. LastCp is 'RF'.

I haven't been able to troubleshoot this so far, anyone else have any leads?

Thanks!!

This error looks like it's coming from Sparkocam itself. I would recommend reaching out to their support.

Here is my first reply from Sparkocam. I need to test more when I get home from work. But I'll answer the questions as best I can below the quote. Any of this helpful?

"Does SparkoCam application continue working correctly after that message or does it also crash? If it is working then the problem is inside OBS and you need to send a crash report to OBS developers. One of the possible reasons why OBS crashes on that computer may be an insufficient performance of the computer. Most probably you aren't getting crashes using your regular webcam due to the fact that real webcams rarely keep constant frame rate so even if your USB webcam is configured to 30 FPS the real frame rate varies and at most times is lower that 30 FPS. SparkoCam, on the other hand, always keeps constant frame rate (30). Most probably OBS isn't able to handle a high frame rate on this specific computer and therefore crashes.

Regards,
Sparkosoft Support."

The error seems to be happening from OBS though it doesn't crash and I don't think it even stops streaming. I believe Sparkocam stops working and you can hear the camera click though I'm not sure if it actually crashes. Also the computer if fairly new and pretty capable. It's VR ready for whatever that is worth. I can get exact specs tonight if that is helpful.

That error is DEFINITELY not coming from OBS itself, and I'm very confused by that response.

It sounds like they're confused as well, if SparkoCam itself stops working, you should respond and let them know that is the case. Their reasoning makes absolutely no sense.

Haha. I've responded and told them as much so far. But I was interested in your take on it. I was wondering if it was going to be nonsense or not. I will do more tests tonight and see if I can walk them through it. I don't think either program is actually crashing so I'm not sure if it's generating any sort of log. Thank you!

Next time it happens (if you can easily replicate it), go to Help -> Log Files -> Upload Current Log (make sure you pick Current and not Last) and then share the link here.

I'm happy to take a look, and I'm definitely not trying to dismiss the issue, but it's definitely not an OBS error of any kind. We don't generate errors like that.

Will do. I'm pretty sure it wasn't letting me click back on the OBS window until I closed the error. It seemed to be attached to the OBS interface. I need to double check though I wasn't paying enough attention to that sort of thing when it happened. I appreciate you looking into this, Fenrir.

did you ever find a fix for this? I have obs software + sparkocam and randomly will get the same error. It causes my FPS to drop from 400+ to 20 FPS, but only when this error pops up (and it only comes on with obs on too).

Having same issue with Nikon D600, after 10/15 minutes of streaming my fps drop to around 10 and after a while I have the same error and Sparkocam closes.

As I had mentioned previously, you will need to work with Sparkocam to determine why their software is crashing.

Again, as I just mentioned, this is an issue with Sparkocam, not OBS.

Also, we do not develop, maintain, or support anything with Streamlab's fork of OBS. They have nothing to do with us.
