Question / Help OBS/Elgato HD 60/ No game sound

Ive tried various settings to get the game sound to move over but am unable to get it to work.

under properties for Elgato, I have (Use Device Audio) and Output Audio to stream only.

I have messed with the settings with no success.

Are you trying to stream from PS4? If so, having a USB headset connected will cause this

Streaming from PC to PC. I have a USB headset into my gaming machine.

On your gaming rig you need to make sure that the Sound, Playback device is configured for your video card or Elgato, it'll look something like this:

Thanks, but now I am unable to hear the game sound in my headset. Any thoughts?

How about plug your headset into your streaming PC. In OBS right click your capture card in the sources panel and choose Properties, scroll down to the bottom of the resulting window and change Audio Output Mode to either DirectSound or WaveOut whichever works best. That way you'll hear the game audio on your streaming PC.

If you need your headset plugged into your gaming rig because you are using in-game chat or something like that then I'm not sure how you can get that to work, you'll probably end up having to get a mixer of some kind to manage all your audio.
