OBS eating up HD space on Mac even when not broadcasting/recording - memory leak?

Log attached. Scenario:

Playing a 6 min pre-recorded video as a VLC media element in OBS.
Not recording.
Not even broadcasting.

While video plays in OBS, I can watch my available HD space go from 44 GB all the way to 12 GB or less.
Eventually it will go so low that MacOS warns me and I have to stop what I am doing.
Tried some of the tricks to reassign my record folder, but that didn't work. And besides, I am not recording when this happens.

Seems to be a memory leak.

Does the same issue happen if you play that video using the "Media Source" instead of the VLC source? Trying to check if its directly related to OBS or not.
