Question / Help OBS drops frames while game stays fine

I have a 980 and an i7-4790k. When I record anything and my games run fine but OBS drops constantly to 40 and 50 fps and freezes every once and a while. My CPU doesn't max out either. I've tried V-Sync but that just makes the game run bad.

That log is incomplete, restart obs and upload the LAST log and not current.
