Bug Report OBS drops devices randomly during stream

Greetings,
I hope I am not repeating a common thread, etc. Please point me to the correct one if I am.
Three times in the past eight weeks I've had a similar problem. While steaming OBS suddenly drops a Source device. Twice it was my audio input and last time it was a video device. Everything is working but OBS simply won't work with the device until the Source Properties are selected and the device is reelected from the lists. Then it starts working again. This has happened each time in the midst of the steam, and therefore is very difficult to diagnose and fix with people watching.
I have just installed the most recent updates (I was running an earlier version of 25.0.#). Is this a known issue? What other information can I offer?

Make sure the devices are on separate USB ports / controllers if possible. Get USBView from https://obsproject.com/downloads/usbview.zip to identify which hubs your devices are connected to. Move bandwidth-hungry devices like webcams and capture cards to separate hubs by switching their USB ports.

Thanks. That makes sense.
I have ordered a few more PCI-E to USB 3 expansion cards to add onto my motherboard, one for each device. I hope that takes care of it.
