OBS dropping sound not audio from Atem Mini Pro for no reason

Morning all,
I have a sporadic issue (the worst kind) with OBS. I can be streaming and, regardless of the platform being used and regardless of which computer I use either Windows PC or a Windows laptop both very highly spect pieces of hardware the sound will drop with no reason no warning or otherwise.
I can work around to fix this is by going into the details settings of the Atem "Blackmagic Design" capture device, changing the custom sound from the black magic design to something else such as the webcam microphone and then going back to the black magic design sound source. This is not at all ideal and it's frustrating given there's no rhyme nor reason as to why this happens it just does the visuals continue they're absolutely fine it's just a sound drops out.
I'm contemplating moving to vmix which I would rather not do given the learning curve that's going to be required so if anybody has any ideas as to why OBS does this and better so how to fix this that'll be massively massively appreciated I have not attached a log file because I'm not on my desk at this time I'm not too sure what the log file will bring it on this particular occasion given the error and their failure is sporadic and not a routine pattern and it's between different computers..
Many thanks,
Lu

Fix the ATEM sample-rate mis-match. 44.1 > 48k Make sure the latest driver is installed, not sure if it needs to be compatible with 29.1.3?

McAfee is more than likely slowing everything down or worse & if you have any network issues, ditch the wi-fi.

Hey Rockbottom, so do I change those settings in the Atem or in OBS. Which would you recommend?
Thanks for the reply

I don't own a mini but I suspect that the audio settings can be adjusted. Also check Windows Sound Control Panel (drill into the device & check the Advanced tab) & any other device that you are sending the audio to. All should be @ 48k.

I do the streaming for a small church in Montana; I use the ATEM Mini, and OBS, both with the latest updates. I have had this same problem, that is, the stream sent to Facebook has worked well since 2021, but in the last year or so, I have had the sound just drop out: OBS shows no signal in the "VU Meter", yet, ATEM shows signal. I have the latest updates for OBS & the ATEM Mini, I have restarted the ATEM: no change; I try to "Stop Streaming" and "EXIT" but OBS will not shut down, unless I end it in Task Manager, restarting OBS does not work; I have to shut down the PC and restart EVERYTHING...... then it may work for the remainder of the service, but yesterday, it dropped audio again, 4 minutes after restarting everything. ARRRGGGGGG! This is unacceptable in a production environment! Please help!!!! (using 1 year old HP Pavilion Laptop, up to date Windows 11, ATEM Mini, and OBS - all up to date. Thanks)
