Question / Help OBS dropping frames while not even recording.

OBS causes my game to drop to 20 fps with just having the program open even while not recording, More specifically having a game capture source set up makes the game lag. I've tried to diagnose the situation myself for a while, and have even reinstalled OBS multiple times. Don't know why it does this. It used to work perfectly well with no lag whats so ever and it wasn't till I updated to versions where the issue started.

The game I'm trying to capture is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and it seems to be having trouble hooking the fullscreen process.

would appreciate help :)

OBS uses GPU resources to render even when it is not streaming or recording.

There's no stream or recording session in the log, so there's no performance data to analyze, but I'm guessing you may have GPU overload.

Also, game capture does not work on GTA:SA.
