Question / Help OBS dropping ALL frames and lagging entire PC, and browsers when starting stream

Do you have this problem since a few days? A friend of mine (and me too) had a similar problem. As soon as we started streaming OBS ran into encoding overload and dropped nearly all frames. We didn't change any settings on our PCs and obs.

The reason behind this were windows updates which where installed around 12th - 15th of december. I installed my updates on 12th, my friend on 15th. Uninstalling these updates resolved the issue.

Have you installed windows updates recently?

I'm trying it right now, and it would fit the timeline for sure. I wonder what's in the updates that would screw up the streaming system.. the 12th and 13th were updates so I can confirm, that's around the time the screw up did occur.
Update, I tried uninstalling the updates (multiple) and theres one that is "uninstallable" so it wont install unless i go through the coding which seems like it would take a while and be risky due to the fact that i dont wanna screw up the code.. If this is the case and its due to the update, then OBS needs to patch OBS to fix this problem.
