Question / Help OBS doesn't launch despite claiming it has

Hi, I'm needing to record some clips on my computer but OBS is preventing me from doing so, any help would be strongly appreciated!

Anyway, whenever I launch OBS on my Windows 10, the loading animation occurs for a few seconds before the cursor becomes normal and nothing else happens. Sometimes, I receive the pop up window that lets me know OBS is already open and whether I'd like to "launch anyway". However, it isn't open and I even checked in Task Manager.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling OBS, including trying previous or alternate versions of OBS with no luck.

Thank you for your reply. However, I just double checked all this and nothing seems to be relevant to the information in the article. Any other tips or tings I should try?

When you uninstalled it did it remove all traces of the program from your computer?

Yes I did that

Sorry, never came across this problem before. Usually sometimes things get left over in the registry that keeps messing with things even after unistall. Only other thing i could come up with is to do a fresh reinstall of windows to see if another program maybe is conflicting with OBS.
