Bug Report OBS doesn't get along with Audio Router anymore. =/

Since the latest OBS update, or the one before that, an app I've been using called Audio Router with it has crippled it's ability pick up sound. For those that don't know, Audio Router lets you route audio from whatever app you want to a specific output device. I have a designated output for OBS only called streaming, so I can stream or record something without everything playing sound on my end going through (ie: youtube) unless I want it to. Well, now whenever I use audio router to make an app output it's sound to streaming, OBS stops listening and I have to relaunch OBS for it to pick up sound again. I hope this all doesn't sound too vague.

EDIT: Well, I found a way to avoid this by checking the 'soft routing' box in Audio Router. I don't think I ever had to do that before though.

Audio Router has always been buggy for me, and the 1803 update includes the per-app audio routing feature at the OS-level. I'd highly recommend looking into doing things via the windows sound settings nowadays.

Yeah, I heard Windows 10 has Audio Router features built in now, but I'm on Windows 8.1 and don't want downgrade to Windows 10.

I wish you the best of luck then, since this is one of the trickiest areas to work in. I'd recommend taking a look at CheVolume if you have further issues, but sound routing is a workaround that isn't expected of most programs. That's going to be on the sound routing program to ensure compatibility.

I used to use CheVolume before I found Audio Router. That app was even worse, I don't really remember how but I think it actually caused my PC to crash, which made me switch and never look back. If only there was an app that let you do what Audio Router does and save it as a default setting per app, that would be great.
