OBS doesn't fully connect to Twitch after last update

Since the last update, my "Update Stream Info" dock doesn't show up on startup. My Twitch chat is still visible, but I don't have the option to select the dock in the Docks tab, and it doesn't populate. I have to resign in with Twitch every time I open the application. I am signed in with my account (not just my stream key) and I have selected that my login is remembered for 30 days, just in case that was the issue

Same issue. I have four docks: stream info manager, two activity feeds and chat. With 27.2.0 I have to login every time after launching OBS and the chat doesn't have mod tools.

Are you using the SE plugin?

Chiming in to say that I do have the same issue, and I am using theSE Plugin, which had an update shortly after installing 27.2
I should probably go on to mention a few things:
  1. Initial login meant that all the usual Twitch docks were missing. This was alleviated by Disconnecting my Stream account in Stream Settings, and then reconnecting it;
  2. Since then, at least one of the Twitch windows will require me to login again, and once done, I can refresh the others in order get them to show up again;
  3. Custom Browser docks, such as for featured.chat will ALWAYS require a login on boot, despite being autheticated with the site.

Concerning the 3rd point- Is there any other way to have a quick action dock or will I have to log into twitch every time now??

So as long as you make sure that you either don't accept the SE.Live plugin update when installing 27.2, or making sure it is uninstalled in the latest version, you should be able to log in as normal. This will require an update from StreamElements, which there is currently no official ETA for.

As a workaround for missing the StreamElements activity dock, you can visit https://streamelements.com/dashboard/activity, select thePopout option, copy the URL there and add it as a Custom Browser Dock in OBS until the issue is fixed.

It does unfortunately, SE overwrites parts of OBS Studio that can cause this. Removing SE and reinstalling OBS should fix it until they release a compatible version.

Yes. That had an update the same day. That shouldn't prevent OBS from storing cookies now does it?
It pretends it has an update - basically it uses that opportunity to re-replace our components with their own (because OBS updated), which in this case seems to break cookies.

I am not using SE and the new update broke browser sources, twitch connectivity, as well as audio routing. It's a mess and should be pulled.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I'll test and see if removing SE and reinstalling OBS will fix it. I hope there is a way to save all scene settings etc :S

You can either backup using the Profile and Scene Collection menus, or by copying the entire %appdata%\obs-studio folder if you really need. OBS won't uninstall your scenes by default.

Do you know the URL for the stream info dock? My activity feed show with no problem, but I can't get the stream information dock without going to the actual Twitch dashboard and opening it there, which doesn't shows up as a modal and doesn't have a popout view so no direct URL easily visible.

@TonySnark
go to Twitch (creator dashboard), move the frame of your "video window" a bit, then toggle up a "+" button on the right side, click the "+" button, then let the "Stream Info" drop box to the twitch creator dashboard overlay, then accept the green button at the top (slightly left), then you can click the 3 dots button from the “stream info box” and choose “accept” and then copy and paste the url it works via the docks obs. sry for my bad english. i hope i can help you ;) greetings
