Question / Help OBS Display capture lag

Hi all.
Still trying to resolve an issue i've been having for the past few months now. STILL haven't been able to fix what is going on.

So my issue is that OBS genuinely lags/drops frames when i enter populated/gpu heavy area in a full screen game. Now when i mean lags/drops fps, my game is fine, whatever setting it's on. But the actual display captured in OBS drops frames, causing my stream/recordings to drop frames aswell. I've tried lowering settings to ultra low, capping frames and all that stuff but i just can't seem to resolve this issue that i'm having.

I use Game Capture for all my fullscreen apps, and believe i have my output downscale settings correct.

I've tried using multiple platforms to stream (Streamlabs obs, Streamelements, etc) to help but it just keeps happening.

Could it be a hardware issue im having here?

Update windows and turn off game mode. Instructions are below.

11:08:16.675: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 1463 (4.2%)

You're getting rendering lag. OBS wants to render frames and can't because it's being told the GPU is busy. So either the GPU is overloaded, or Game Mode is on and telling OBS it can't use the GPU to preserve those resources for your game.
