Question / Help OBS Detects Sound, MP4 has No Audio?

Alright, so I'm having more audio issues. Initially I thought it was a problem with my crap capture card, but OBS won't capture sound on basic desktop captures either. The Mixer bar is displaying that OBS is detecting the audio, but the final MP4 file that results from a recording never has sound?

I'm running Windows 10 and just yesterday installed the newest version of OBS MP.

That didn't affect anything. It still doesn't have audio. :/ I don't think the player is the problem, as MP4 files that I didn't create, such as music files, work fine.

EDIT- Oh my god don't listen to me. I had it muted ffs. Thanks for letting me know. Is there any reason Windows Media Player won't play the sound?

Could we get a sticky for this? Not like anyone would read the sticky but still, I swear it is asked 2-3 times a week.

Same problem here on Win10, but used the TS format and it worked in Windows Media Player and likwise Windows Movie Maker.
