A long time ago, I followed the OBS CoreAudio Encoder guide for OBS (https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-studio-enable-coreaudio-aac-encoder-windows.220/)
it significantly improved my desktop audio, i can't remember how long i have this problem but there seems to be lots of bass in the desktop audio again, so i went to OBS > Help > Log Files > View Current Log
So i searched for CoreAudio, and i found this
23:39:46.552: [CoreAudio encoder]: CoreAudio AAC encoder not installed on the system or couldn't be loaded
so it hasn't been loaded properly, how do i fix it?
